I took my first yoga class ever tonight. It was excellent. I wasn't sure what to expect. Would I be a total mess? Would I be good at it? Well, I guess I ended up being somewhere in between!
An interesting note about NYC: air conditioning is a luxury in old buildings. I didn't sign up for the hot yoga class, but I ended up getting hot yoga anyway seeing as it was 90 degrees (seriously) in New York today and the studio didn't have AC. Yay!

Good for you, trying something new! I love yoga, though I'm just getting into it myself. Such a good workout and so relaxing at the same time!
ReplyDeletei love yoga.
ReplyDeletei usually do it in my living room--because i tend to fall under the "total mess" category... however-- i LOVE going to the candlelight yoga class downtown. it's so relaxing and lovely.

I only do yoga in my living room because I am such an oaf! I'm glad you enjoyed it though - I've heard it is very calming. :)
ReplyDeleteHa ha maybe you inadvertently ended up with Bikram yoga, I think that's the kind where you sweat! I'm a runner myself, but have tried yoga before and liked it, good for you!
ReplyDeleteI"m glad you posted this...part of me would love to take yoga and the other part is so apprehensive: will I be terrible? can I relax enough? am I late to the game? And so forth. Glad you had a good experience. Would love to hear more!
