The mostly beautifully addressed invitation came into my office a few weeks ago. After the event was over I couldn't bear to throw away this gorgeous envelope! I'm adding learning calligraphy to my ever-growing list of ongoing projects! The green ink are my first attempts. Calligraphy is definitely a "practice makes perfect" craft! I hope you all had a restful weekend!

i've always wanted to learn calligraphy but somehow never gotten around to it... your attempts look lovely dear.. i have no doubt you'll be a pro soon!
ReplyDeleteYou will be so proficient quickly, I have no doubt. My first attempts would look nothing like these. Enjoy. Love,Rhonda
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on hitting 60. WOW!!! Rhonda
ReplyDeleteLooks like a pretty good "first attempt" to me. I've heard calligraphy is harder for left handed people because it smears easily, but that doesn't seem to have been a problem in your case. Nice job! Hugs~
ReplyDeleteKendall- What a beautiful invitation. What is the event?
ReplyDeleteYour green work looks amazing. What an art to learn. I remember being mezmerized by a guy in our dorm room who practiced calligraghy. So fun to watch him write!
