Tonight's dinner was Papaya King at 86th and Third Ave. We ran in and had a couple of hotdogs with cheese and spicy mustard before catching a movie. This place has the absolute best hotdogs, hands down. They're doing something right, since they opened this place in 1923 and never looked back.
But the funny thing is that I've never tried the papaya juice. It just doesn't sound good to me for some reason! What do you think? Has anybody had it?
Oh, Kendall! I used to eat here all the time, because I lived on 70th between 1st and 2nd and I would just take the train up one stop, specifically for this purpose! I always got the sausage dogs, though, but I loved Papaya King! And no, I never did have their papaya juice, but I do think I've had a smoothie there once or twice, clearly it wasn't memorable!

ReplyDeleteI used to eat there all the time too! I knew you and I (and Shari) were all kindred spirits! :) Although I must confess, I was never there so early in the evening...and never sober...miss my twenties...sigh!
