Dreaming of a New Kitchen...

Our Kitchen renovation is still a while away, but I've been daydreaming about it today. If I'm honest, my actual train of thought was: "Maybe if I had a Kitchen I wanted to spend time in I'd manage to cook a little more." :) This image is similar to what I'm after...simple black/white/grey scheme. And I love the idea of two different cabinet colors.

Plus a comfortable place to hang out. Preferably in leather, like this sofa.

Oh, and a functioning dishwasher. But for now, I'll make due and be thankful that I have a Kitchen! What does your dream kitchen have?

  1. Too many things to fit in one theme/kitchen!! Hole in the counter that goes right to the trash for cooking, some sort of banquette-table type thing (maybe?), island w/ bar stools (maybe?), open shelving, double ovens, maybe electric/flat stove...gosh I HAVE TOO MANY IDEAS. Love your pics though!

  2. My dream kitchen definitely has a dishwasher. And a microwave; they're the two things I use the most! Our old townhouse had a less than full-sized oven and it was a huge pain, so I always want a full-size oven too! It's fun to dream. :)

  3. The Tommy Smythe kitchen in the first photo is one of my all-time faves! Isn't it fabulous?

  4. I hope this dream becomes your reality someday. I slowly built up my kitchen too, and the real piece-by-piece set was the dining table and chairs. They’re by no means a matched set, and I picked up a lot of the seats from antique shops. But we managed it, and the kids adore the mismatched set!

  5. Incredible! I'm really enjoying the design of your weblog. Are you using a customized template or is this readily available to all users? If you do not want to say the name of it out in the general public, please be sure to contact me at: dusty-conaway@gmail.com. I'd really
like to get my hands on this theme! Kudos.

  7. With havin so much content do you ever run into any problems of
plagorism or copyright infringement? My website has
a lot of completely unique content I've either created myself or outsourced but it looks like a lot of it is popping it up all over the internet without my agreement. Do you know any methods to help prevent content from being stolen? I'd truly appreciate it.

  8. I was curious if you ever considered changing the page layout of your blog?
Its very well written; I love what youve got to say.
But maybe you could a little more in the way
of content so people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot
of text for only having 1 or 2 images. Maybe you could space it out better?
