Bridal Shower Luncheon

I hosted my first bridal shower on Saturday afternoon. We spent the day celebrating Geneva Evans, the most fabulous girl I know. Everything turned out almost as beautiful as the bride-to-be! I did my best to stretch every penny to get the most bang for my buck. That meant lots of hand-made decorations, discount roses, and clearance finds.

One key to success, in my opinion, is to delegate the things I'm not so good at to the experts! Specifically the cake and the food. I know my weaknesses in that department so I was sure to enlist the help of my friend Brandi who's a pastry chef to make an awesome cake, and Eleanor, who catered everything.

The color scheme was pink, navy and grey. Why pink? Because my beautiful china that belonged to my great-grandmother is covered with pink flowers! The china was my jumping off point for everything else. Here are a few of my favorite details!
And here's one of the beautiful bride! I'll post more tomorrow. So what do you think?

  1. You did an absolutely AMAZING job! Any bride would have been lucky to have you put together such a pretty party! I especially love the paper lanterns. The decorative pink flowers you've got alongside them are beautiful. Did you make those?? I would love a tutorial! The color scheme is oh-so chic. Thanks for sharing these gorgeous photos! I can't wait to see more of your lovely handiwork. I'm certain the bride had a fabulous time. What a wonderful friend you are!

  2. I love it all!! The plates, vintage tea cups, mini lights, lanterns...ahhhh! it's beautiful. She must have been SO happy. Great job!!

  3. Gorgeous!

Where did you get the paper flowers?

  4. Amazingly Beautiful but then again I am not surprised! You are one talented young lady and a great friend to go to such lengths for a friend! Geneva is blessed.

  5. So beautiful and so much fun. Truly a very happy occasion. Thankful to have been able to spend time with you all. Rhonda
