Woven Paper Notecards

I felt a little crafty this afternoon, so I made some quick woven paper notecards. From start to finish it took about 45 minutes to make two notecards, and that includes the time it took to get my supplies out of the closet!

I started out with my stash of decorative paper. I decided to use the scraps left over from past projects.
I used my handy-dandy paper cutter to cut out a rectangular piece of cardstock to use as a base. Be sure it's the right size to fit into the envelopes you have on hand. Then I started cutting strips of paper to weave together. They don't have to be the perfect length at this stage. You can always trim the edges when you're done.
Start by gluing one paper strip down only in one corner.
Then glue a second strip in the same corner but in the opposite direction.
Then glue a second strip and weave it under the first, and so on.
Then you have your finished product! These are so quick and easy! Perfect to do with kids. Now I just need to mail them to special people!
